Obesity, which is known to cause many health problems such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension, apnea and similar respiratory diseases, also increases the risk of cancer. Consumption of excess fat, salt and sugar causes obesity, leading to the start of the fight against cancer. Obesity, which is known for its dangers globally as well as in our country, threatens many countries today. Expressing that obesity becomes widespread with the deterioration of the natural food chain, and cancer with obesity, Oncology Director Prof. Dr. Erkan Topuz, He shares his views on the subject.

Obesity and cancer are two good friends!

Obesity is the biggest known cancer risk factor after tobacco. The link between obesity and cancer has recently been proven through scientific research. Obesity, which emerged with the increase in fat consumption, is also known as the cause of cancer with its life-threatening consequences.

The right cow’s milk protects against cancer with its Omega 3 content.

Babies who are fed with breast milk or with milk specially developed for infants face the risk of not getting enough food. Cows, whose milk is used by millions of people today, give birth in the spring months when grass is abundant and produce more milk until the end of summer.

Spring grass is a rich source of Omega 3 fatty acids that our body needs. These fatty acids are abundant in both cow’s milk and cream, butter, yoghurt, cheese and similar products obtained from cow’s milk. For this reason, paying attention to these periods in nutrition and these features in dairy products is of great importance in terms of cancer prevention.

Omega 3 and Omega 6 help protect cells

It would not be wrong to say that the fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6 in our body are very valuable in terms of performing our body functions in the most correct way. Omega 6, which has a vital task such as maintaining the hardness of cells and supporting fat storage, has an irreplaceable importance in terms of protecting human health.

Omega 3, which is at least as important as Omega 6 for our body, is involved in the development of the nervous system. Omega 3 fatty acids, which make the cell walls more flexible, protect the cell from external damage and limit the production of fat cells. The physiological balance of the human body largely depends on the balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6, and therefore also on our diet and order.

The amount of fatty acids affects the feed of cows and chickens.

Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, which are also known as essential fatty acids because the human body cannot produce them, can be obtained through foods, so our dietary habits directly affect our health. The amount of Omega 3 and Omega 6 in the foods we eat depends on the feed of the cows and chickens we consume. If they eat grass, the balance of meat, milk and eggs given by animals will be as needed. If animals eat soy and corn, this balance will be disturbed.

Avoiding excess weight protects against breast cancer

Breast cancer, which is the most common type of cancer in women, is seen six times more in developed countries than in less developed countries and Asian countries. It is possible to prevent breast cancer, which is less common in Asian people, those with early menopause, those who gave birth before the age of 18 and women whose ovaries were removed before the age of 37.

To prevent breast cancer; It is necessary to avoid animal and fatty foods and to take care not to gain weight. It is also of great importance to stay away from foods with hormones and additives. In order to lead a life free from breast cancer, it will be beneficial to consume at least one, at most five servings of vegetables and fruits a day.
